Jo Gelblum is a serial fundraiser Grandparent who raised £1,984 selling cakes over Christmas.
Members of the Marks Tey Silver Threads Club presented us with a cheque for £1,920.00 following a year of amazing fundraising, from coffee mornings to dance afternoons. The members were determined to make a difference to the lives of all those affected by Duchenne after hearing all about the condition and our work from the lovely Paul Bown.
Deborah O’Doherty did a bag pack in a local supermarket in Derry and raised over £600.
Holiday Inn Luton are charging people to park in their car park and proceeds will come to Action Duchenne.
Kirsty Tyler and Jolene Ironside ran the St Neots half Marathon for their friends the Ellison family.
Matthew Bardsley is running the London Marathon for us for his friend’s son Toby Maurice.
Alexis Ellison is taking part in the Neptune Steps 2018 challenge “..an adventure race like no other, swimming through 420m of cold water, climbing 18m over seven canal lock gates, and pushing participants to their limits in a true test of speed, strength, and resolve.”
Janet Bloor is our wonderful Chair of the Board of Trustees. Her son is in his 20s, living with Duchenne. She volunteers her time advocating for families and is dedicating her 60th Birthday celebration to Action Duchenne by taking part in the crazy World’s fastest and Europe’s longest Velocity zipline.
