We are delighted to announce that television and radio broadcaster Jonny Gould has become an ambassador for Action Duchenne. Jonny is a presenter and pundit who has appeared regularly on Sky News, ITV Sport, Talk Sport and many other media outlets over more than 30 years and has a cousin living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is looking forward to supporting our work, meeting families affected by Duchenne and raising awareness of the condition amongst the wider population.
“It’s vital for me to be involved in Action Duchenne as there’s no known cure for Duchenne. It’s like an ongoing medical emergency for those, mostly boys, who have this debilitating condition and the more people I can reach who are able to expedite new therapies for Duchenne, the better. I have a young cousin living with Duchenne and know how important it is to do everything possible for those living with the condition and their families. Action Duchenne is a fantastic organisation working hard to bring about change for those living with the condition and I’m proud to help play any part I can.”
We are thrilled Jonny has agreed to become an ambassador for us and we can’t wait to work with him to help deliver our vision of a world where lives are no longer limited by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
