Last weekend, our wonderful supporters Stoke By Nayland Golf Club held their much anticipated raffle draw. The prize was a week in a luxury villa in Cyprus, with space for 8 people to enjoy the pool, sun and gorgeous relaxing surroundings.
Men’s Captain John Sandford chose Action Duchenne as his Charity of the Year 2019, as a close friend of member Ian Collett’s son lives with Duchenne.
The Club sold over 300 tickets, raising an incredible £3,050 for Action Duchenne. This is an amazing and life-changing amount of money and we wish to thank Ian, John and the entire club and supporters for their hard work and generosity.
The club have told us they are, “deeply indebted for the support shown from the members and staff at the golf club, the charity for actively publishing this on their social media to drive ticket sales, and many friends and family for supporting this fund raising. It was lovely to see a few faces at the club to support the draw, and even greater that the overall winner was in the room!”
As owner of the villa and the kind donor of the amazing prize, Keith Hodgson pulled out the winning number 189. Well done to staff member Nicole Andrews on winning this great prize.
