World Duchenne Awareness Day falls on the 7th September each year. On this day Action Duchenne joins the international Duchenne community to raise the profile and awareness of the condition.

In 2023 we want our supporters to join us and get involved – no matter how big or small. Early years providers, schools, colleges, sports clubs, music groups, bands, community groups, universities, workplaces or any other groups or organisations. Everyone is welcome!

Think dress down (or up) days, bake sales, raffles, sponsored challenges, concerts, talent shows…the list is endless!

Your event doesn’t need to take place on the 7th September, it can take place on any day in September.

Support Us

You can be part of our vision, a world where lives are no longer limited by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. You will be warmly welcomed into our community of amazing supporters and Duchenne families.

Every penny you raise will help children, young people and adults living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare muscle wasting condition.

With the money you raise

*£20 Could pay for a newly diagnosed family to receive an initial support telephone call and vital information pack.

*£50 Could fund one full hour of research.

*£100 Could contribute to bringing a Duchenne science education event to our families across the UK

*£500 Could help us develop and deliver a support and education webinar
