This weekend our Director of Research, Neil Bennett, and our CEO, Shelley Simmonds, are in Rome attending the Duchenne Parent Project International Conference to hear a variety of presentations on subjects such as restoring dystrophin production, improving muscles, drugs early access programs, female carriers and accessible living spaces.
Ahead of the conference tomorrow, today Neil is attending a meeting of Scientific Directors and Shelley is attending the World Duchenne Organisation member meeting. It is personally their first time attending these meetings and we are grateful to those who invite Action Duchenne to be a part of these discussions and make us feel welcome.
We are looking forward to seeing our charity partners and attending the meetings we have organised with pharmaceutical colleagues to talk about their current projects and the Action Duchenne annual conference in November.
An update from the weekend will be shared in due course.
