A blog by Duchenne Mum – Ashley
18 days ago I made the decision for my family to take everyone out of school/nursery, some may think I was a little early or being dramatic.
The days are long and sometimes boring but mostly we have fun and are enjoying the time together. We have filled it with arts, crafts, gaming, baking, singing, dancing and learning!
Learning
Learning how to love our own company, our own home, how to enjoy the small things again like a freshly baked loaf or sprinkling 100s and 1000s on some cakes and stuffing them in our smiling faces and most importantly learning that fun isn’t bought.
Things are scary and my head is inside out at the moment I don’t know how to even explain the fear I feel every-time I think about what would happen to my family if this invisible killer got into our home.
Dettol!
Actions are taken every time the door opens to prevent it entering and we have got through SO much Dettol spray I think even we are struggling to survive the cloud of Dettol. I feel things are going pretty smoothly so far (touch wood).
Keep safe people, do as you are asked and most of all enjoy the one thing we all wish we had more of…. time together!
