I was lucky enough to spend my whole life calling local scoundrel and long-time thorn in the side of authority, Neil Robertson, my friend. Sadly in 2014, at the very, very old (and cantankerous) age of 31 Neil decided he had better things to do (leaving us all to pick up the impending fallout from #indyref – thanks mate!) and set off to prepare for the imminent arrival of Prince and David Bowie in whatever celestial dimension he now inhabits.
He spent his whole life campaigning for whatever injustice he saw – The Bedroom Tax, Scottish Independence, the sacking of Tommy Burns in 1997 – and I would like to carry on that legacy, and give him a chuckle at my aging bones going through the ringer, by raising a bit of dosh now and then for worthy causes.
