We have combined our online sessions with residential weekends, enabling young people to participate in a variety of amazing activities alongside others living with Duchenne. They’ve experienced independence and friendship alongside developing vital skills and building self esteem. We have visited the amazing Calvert Trust in both Exmoor and the Lake District.
Our 2024 residential weekend will take place at the Calvert Trust in the Lake District from Friday 30th August to Monday 2nd September.
The Calvert Trust is a fully accessible outdoor adventure centre, set in beautiful surroundings and giving you the opportunity to try different outdoor activities with fully trained instructors as well alongside a group of other young people living with Duchenne.
The weekend is open to anyone aged 16 and over who lives with Duchenne and who HAS NOT taken part in a previous weekend with us. It is FREE of charge for the young person and up to 2 carers, including all food and drinks. All we ask is that you provide your care for the weekend and your travel there and back.
This will be our 3rd year of going to the Calvert Trust, and every single young person who has taken part has both really enjoyed it and got a lot out of it, however nervous they were at the start.
If you’re interested in coming with us,, we’ve got limited places so please email and let us know asap!

In-Person Events – Think Tank Science Museum
We are planning an in-person meet-up at Think Tank, the Science Museum in Birmingham. As well as a chance to look around this brilliant interactive museum, we will also have a room that we can use as a group. We will cover tickets and refreshments, so all you have to do is get there!
